Anton Mariinsky
Anton Mariinsky is an artist, graphic designer, educator, and researcher working across illustration, printmaking, and visual communication. He graduated from the Moscow State University of Printing Arts in 2012, specializing in artistic and technical design of printed materials, and received a Master of Arts in Visual Communication and Illustration from Universität der Künste Berlin in 2017, where he studied under Prof. Henning Wagenbreth.
His practice focuses on communication design, editorial illustration, visual storytelling, infographics, data visualization, printmaking, and artistic research. His work has received recognition from the European Design Awards and the Malofiej Infographics Awards and has been published by TASCHEN.
Anton Mariinsky has participated in international exhibitions of printmaking and poster art and has presented his work at international conferences. Since 2019, he has taught at HSE Art and Design School in Moscow, where he has developed and led courses in infographics, data visualization, and visual storytelling.
In 2023, Anton Mariinsky co-founded Almaty City Design School in partnership with Almatygenplan, the city's master planning institute. The school was established as an educational platform for urban design and city-oriented projects, bringing together designers, architects, and researchers to work on real urban challenges. He co-developed the academic curriculum and served as Academic Program Curator.
